In the ALOP book, a power statement explains the difference between a founder and an entrepreneur and it simply puts it as, "starting a business is ingrained in creating a solution, while entrepreneurship makes a business out of a solution" - Ancient Laws of Power Book

A founder is someone who creates a new business from scratch. They come up with an idea, develop it into a tangible product or service, and establish a company around that idea. Founders are the architects of the business—they lay the foundation and build the structure of a company.

Quite a few things set founders apart, let's dive into them.

Creating from the ground up. Founders typically start with a vision. Whether it’s to disrupt an industry or create something entirely new, they build their business from nothing. Also, founders take ownership and lead. Founders own their companies, and many take on leadership roles like CEO or president in the early stages. Starting a business involves substantial financial and emotional risk. Founders often put their own money, time, and energy into building the company.

Examples of founders include Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, or Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.

On the other hand, an entrepreneur, on the other hand, is someone who identifies a problem or an opportunity in the market and develops a solution to address it.
